LED Drivers for Magnetic Track Systems — 5 models
Magnetic track runs on low voltage, so modules can be clipped on, slid and added at will. The driver has to satisfy three conditions at once: enough wattage for the total load, the right control protocol, and a place to hide it. The models here are suited to magnetic track. This page lists 5 suitable models: H06, H07, H23, K07, S01. Power coverage 6W–600W, output 48V / 12V / 24V, protection IP20 / IP44, dimming DALI, 0-10V, Triac (phase-cut), PWM. How to choose for magnetic track lighting
- Add up the modules, then derateSum every magnetic module (spot, grille, flood bar) and divide by 0.8. If you may add more later, size for the final count now.
- Match the track controller protocolMagnetic track usually ships with its own controller or remote. Confirm the control type (Triac / 0-10 V / DALI / PWM) before choosing a driver, or dimming will not work.
- Low voltage needs good contactsLow-voltage track is sensitive to contact resistance. Seat connectors firmly, use adequate cable gauge, and feed long runs in sections.
- Mount for cooling and serviceHide the driver at a ceiling access hatch, the track end or above a cabinet, but keep some airflow and a way to reach it later.
- Split large loadsWhen one circuit gets big, split it into two with a driver each: lower drop and better dimming consistency.

Sizing tip: divide total luminaire wattage by 0.8 so the load stays at or below 80% of the driver rating; allow 20%–25% headroom where the installation runs for many hours. If you are unsure, send your luminaire data to +86 138 2356 2421 (call or WeChat) and our engineers will specify it free of charge.

Magnetic Track Lighting FAQ
How do I size a magnetic track driver?
Add all module wattages then divide by 0.8. Six 12 W spots plus a 24 W flood bar is 96 W, so choose a 120–150 W driver.Can I add modules later?
Yes, provided total load stays within 80% of the driver rating. Size for the final planned count now — that is cheaper than replacing the driver later.Which dimming protocol for magnetic track?
It depends on the track controller or remote: commonly Triac, 0-10 V, DALI or PWM. Send us the controller model or a photo and our engineers will confirm. Can I hide the driver in the ceiling?
Yes, with an access hatch and some ventilation. Do not let it touch insulation or acoustic padding, and never stack two drivers together.
